Peru 2010

|
January 30, 2010 Left Puno and returned to Lima. As much as I enjoyed Cusco and Lake Titicaca, it was nice to return to the lower elevations. I can climb a flight of stairs, walk up a ramp without gasping for air. However, you cannot have everything, I have left the cooler temps behind and am dealing with humidity and heat. After arriving at the hotel, we took a car to the Plaza Mayor, where we had a great lunch at a restaurant called Tanta. I am not sure of the name of everything we ate but we finished it all and then some.
It was then a walking tour of Lima. We started at the Peru Post Office. the Lion's mouth served as a mail drop. On the far right is the Steeple of the church Santa Domingo. Plaza Mayor
A baroque church and a funny looking shop we found while walking though the City.
Look, the cows! I spotted a bunch of these in Geneva a few years ago. I keep running into them!
